John Maggiano, MD
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Inventor/visionary with a 41 year career in ophthalmology. Researcher, board certified AAO, California QME, founder Orange County Retina Medical Group, prior consultant Alcon Surgical and Allergan.
Dr. Maggiano established university-level eye physiology and visual measurement laboratories at multiple institutions, hospitals, and Orange County Retina Medical Group. He has presented, published and consulted on topics involving physiologic measurement at ARVO, in IOVS, Archive of Ophthalmology and Psychiatry Research, and for ophthalmic device companies. His academic appointments have included University of Illinois, Loyola University, Medical College of Wisconsin and UC Irvine.
These interests led Dr. Maggiano to consider what eye measurement devices might be improved in order to better serve patients.
