LightTouch
Products And Services
Based on preliminary studies, LightTouch tonometers:
- modernize GAT-equivalent measurement: digital/objective bivariate measurement, error reduction, auto-calibration
- measure in less than 1/10 of a second with a gram of force
- collect IOP data that goes to the cloud data warehouse for access by ECPs
- improve patient comfort
- are quick and easy to learn, use and disinfect, offering clinical time savings
- lower costs for ECPs, busy offices, patients and other payers
Handheld Tonometer
Demand for handheld tonometers is rising. Once FDA approved, LightTouch handheld tonometers will be used in many healthcare locations, retail locations, and in patient homes by family caregivers and nurse practitioners.

* Product designs are for illustration purposes only and are not cleared by the FDA, nor available in the United States. Actual FDA approved products may vary.

Tabletop Tonometer
LightTouch tabletop tonometers could potentially lead the way with robotic touch dynamics and patient head stabilization. Once FDA approved, our tabletop tonometers could be used in large eye clinics, research institutions, and in patient homes for self-use.
UI/Software
LightTouch software will include touch-by-touch data evaluation to allow inclusion into each patient’s database, or to filter out poor waveforms (touches) that would otherwise compromise IOP measurements.
Each IOP measurement of a patient’s eye is a data point tied to associated data (left/right eye, date, time of day, head position, patient age, gender, systemic disease and other conditions) that are meaningful to optimizing treatment and research.

Data Warehouse
IOP and associated data has never been easily collected in volume due to suboptimal measurement technology and lack of features in tonometers. LightTouch will aim to realize new data markets, contributing to new glaucoma knowledge for pharmaceutical companies, researchers and ECPs.

Crowdsourced Health Data
Upon FDA approval and when available for sale, the extensive data to be collected by LightTouch could transform the landscape of patient care and glaucoma research. Our data could offer insights on glaucoma comparable to those provided by the world’s largest tech companies in their domains. LightTouch is committed to advancing glaucoma knowledge and becoming a key player at the forefront of data-driven healthcare innovation.
